So I decided to post some more pics of my b-day braid out. The first pic is of the braids I started with. I washed, conditioned, and blowdried my hair. I applied some avocado butter to seal and braided. Then I took them out. I wore it pulled back in a head band and I took some pics of the side as well. Q

Aaah, Queeny, you are my hair inspiration. Please tell me how to blowdry my hair without damaging my ends, because I haven't used heat period since I went natural in April. Do you use the cool setting, and apply the butter before the blowdry? Do you usually airdry, and blowdry only fdays that you want that subtle blowout look? I love it. I'll be able to do it in about 3 years.
Thanks
Do you blowdry it only when it's braided? Or do you just hold the blowdryer there with your hair not braided, and without the little blowdrying combs? DO you apply the butter before and after? Your hair is to LIVE for!
Hi Sheree I used a heat protectant by Garnier Fructis. I make sure my hair is detangled and I blow dry it while it is damp not really wet. Then I add the butter and braid.
I only blowdry my hair about twice a year. I usually don't do it myself but did this time. So I don't do anything extra to my ends. The best thing you can do is care for them daily so that way they will be able to take the heat if and when you use it.
I don't blowdry my hair until it's super straight just until it's no longer damp. I do a couple of passes with the comb attachment and that's it. I don't use the cool setting at all. I have a Vidal Sassoon ionic dryer and I think that helps as well. Let me know if you have any other questions. Q
Oh, okay. Thanks.
still lovin' your hair q!!!
