Happy Birthday to me
Okay so I am 2 days late posting but I was celebrating. On August 8th I turned 28. I don't feel any older. My kids made me a card, DH gave me 2 Barbies, and I went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse all by myself. I also had a cake from Carvel that I purchased for myself. Only 11 more days until my surgery. So much is going on right now. My dad is getting married in September, the kids start school next week, Dh's family is coming in about 2 weeks, I plan on starting on a raw eating plan, I need to finish our taxes, and we signed an offer on our other rental property. I am just trying to focus right now and make some drastic but needed changes in my life. Stay tuned, there is more to come. Q

Summer is almost over
I can't believe how fast summer went by. It is almost August. The kids will be back in school. I feel bad that I have not done much with the kids. But I have just enjoyed having them here with me. Starting next week I do plan on taking them swimming and looking into dance schools for them. They say they would like to learn ballet. I also want them to learn a musical instrument and play a sport but one thing at a time. Other than that, life is great. Let your light shine. Q

Did you miss me?
Sorry I have been gone awhile. I have been soo busy doing some new things and getting my life in order spiritually, physically, and financially. GOD is soo good and has been opening some doors for me and I am ready to step through them. I am still pushing along with my workout challenge. I hit some bumps but I am looking forward to a new body for my birthday.
Sometimes we let life consume us and we forget to stop and tell those close to us that we love them. Take the time to drop a note, email, or call and tell those close to you how you feel. Tomorrow is not promised to us so don't let a day go by. So to my friends and family who read this, I LOVE YOU, and thank you for being a part of my life. Take care Q

Starting over
Today starts my 30 day countdown to my birthday. I will be 28 on August the 8th and I really need to get back in shape. I have been on this yo-yo for awhile now and my birthday is my perfect motivation. There are 2 things I want to do, 1 is finish a Body For Life challenge, and 2 is complete a Couch to 5k 9 week workout. I will post the info on both tomorrow. I plan to take it 4 weeks at a time until I reach my goal. I will also use various programs for variety because I get bored easily. I will probably incorporate Taebo, Slim in 6, Turbo Jam, T-tapp, and the Firm tapes Today was my last free day and I will officially get everything going tomorrow. Pray for me. Q

It's our Anniversary
Hello all today Thomas and I have been married for 8 long, long, long, long, long, long years, lol. Well at least it seems long anyway. Yesterday he gave me my gifts. I got 2 Vince Carter jerseys, a Vince Carter figurine, and a dollar bill with Vince Carter on it. As you can see Vince Carter is my favorite basketball player!!! I got him a Magic bullet but it has yet to get here. He is a health nut and loves to make smoothies but the cleanup is a pain in the butt. The magic bullet allows him to make individual servings without having to clean up a big blender.
It amazes me how fast the time went by. Eight years ago we went to the JOP on our lunchbreak and got married. No one knew. My mom was mad of course, but I always did things my way. Although I do believe I should have taken pictures but other than that, it was perfect. It was just me, him, the judge, GOD, and our love. A love that has since produced 3 beautiful girls and wonderful memories. Many didn't think we would last but we are still going strong. I can honestly say that I am still happily married.
Today was also my friend Sophia's son birthday. She has 6 boys!!!!!!! I decided to have the party over here and what was I thinking? Her six, my 3, yeah that was fun. She has a 4 month old who I love and adore and I decided to keep him with us. I took her and the other 5 home and left Thomas with the baby and our 3 girls and told him I would meet him at church. Well I get to church, see the girls, and the carseat and ask about the baby. He is like "what baby". I said "Sophia's baby". He said "I thought you was playing". So I go running out the church door carseat in hand. This black man lost all color in his face and was saying "Oh my goodness, do you think he could get hurt?". I do about 50 all the way home speeding and get there. The baby is still on the bed sleep. He was in the guestroom which has a queen size bed and I had put pillows all around. He didn't even know what happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well the girls just ate and had a bath, baby is sleep, and I am hungry. Tomorrow I will be starting a 30 day get in shape countdown to my birthday. Thanks for looking. GOD Bless Q

Today was a good day
Today I was able to sleep in late as I usually do on Saturday. Later on it rained like crazy which was much needed. My friend Kim came over to babysit for us. Tomorrow is our anniversary, 8 years!!!! We went to this wonderful Brazilian restaurant named Tucanos. It is a buffet type eating and they bring the meat items to your table. It is wonderful and all the food is grilled fresh at an open grilling area. Our waiter was a guy I know from school. We took Flamenco together. He told me that he will be leaving for Brazil in a week to live for a year. Must be nice. Anyway the food was great and if you are ever in Albuquerque, I highly recommend it. Well I am off to bed because I need to leave early for church in the a.m. Have a blessed evening. Q

Hello
Hello and welcome to my blog. It has taken awhile for me to get this up and going but I finally did it. This blog will represent the life and times of me Queeny20. I plan to be an open book so that others can learn from me, teach me, encourage me, and so that I may be a blessing to others.
The name Queeny was given to me by my first babysitter in N.Y. named Tanya and it has stuck with me ever since The number 20 represents the 20th year of my life (1998) when some life changing things happened. I got married to my wonderful husband, had my first child, and got introduced to the wonderful world of the internet.
Thank you for looking. May GOD Bless you and keep you. Q
