9There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
10And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.
11And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
12When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
13Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.
14Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.
15When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.
There were five thousand men but that didn't include the women and children. How awesome that must have been to seen all those people waiting to hear from the Lord. Once again His disciples have yet to just trust because they didn't understand how Jesus would be able to feed all of those people with so little. Not only was everyone fed, but there was food left over. We serve a God of more than enough. The bible says that God will open up the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that there won't be room enough to receive it. God makes us whole. He provides for us like no one else can.
19So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.
20But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.
21Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.
40And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
41The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
42And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
43Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
They knew the story of Jesus' parents. They was questioning how He could be who He said he was when they knew Mary and Joseph as His parents. They were regular people like them so how could He be so special? Jesus made it plain that He is the only way to the father.
47Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
48I am that bread of life.
49Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
This is why it's important to study the word of God daily. Knowing His word helps you to understand His will for your life. It also helps you to think like God and not like man who is carnal and can believe what seems logical. But God goes against the grain and He can do things we can't even imagine. We live not just because of the food we eat but from the living word of God. Those who ate the manna which also came from heaven, were no longer alive. That's because it takes more to sustain life. Remember we are spirits and our spirit man must be fed daily along with our physical bodies. That's why the word says to taste and see that the Lord is good. His word is good to and for our spirit man. It was Jesus flesh that took on our faults and the beatings that should have been ours. It was His blood that was shed and washed us white as snow and gives us strength from day to day.
64But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
66From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
69And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
70Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
71He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
Reading this broke my heart and brought tears to my eyes. After all they have seen Jesus do, some people still didn't believe and decided to walk away from Him. But Jesus yet and still died for them too. The twelve that remained are those that He knew would be there from the beginning. If you look in the old testament, the 12 are spoken of and mentioned even when you look at the building of the tabernacle and the items it held. (We will probably discuss this later.) Understand that serving God requires a lot. There are a lot of things we will have to give up in order to serve Him. Some of us will even have people we love, turn their backs on us. Philippians 3:8-9 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
No matter what or who you lose by serving Christ, know you ultimately win because you have eternal life because of Him. Tonight I want you write down all the things you have gained from serving Christ. I have gained true friendships. I gained forgiveness for my sins and unspeakable joy. Write them down and reflect on the positive and smile knowing there is far greater things to come from serving Him. Be blessed. Q

21 Days to a Closer walk with Thee (Day 6)
Good morning. Whew goodness today has been one of those days but God is good. Here are the verses for today:

21 Days to a closer walk with Thee (Day 5) Discussion added
Good morning. I am smiling right now as I post this discussion because I know God is moving in a powerful way in our lives. This chapter is close to my heart because my church's name was taken from it. Here are our key scriptures for today:
2Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
5And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
16And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
17But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
18Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
19Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
20For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
21For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
22For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
23That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
25Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
26For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
I know this is a lot. Jesus is challenging the Jews who are trying to condemn Him for healing this man on the Sabbath and for calling Himself God. Once again Jesus mentions work. He tells them He is working just like God the father works everyday. But He is doing the work of saving souls, healing people and giving them life. He knew His time to die was coming. Here He lays it out on the table about who He really is. He makes it very plain for them. But remember, when He is captured, He doesn't speak or say anything about Himself.
32There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
33Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.
We too are now witnesses for Christ. John is mentioned because at the time, He was the main preacher of the gospel. Folks looked up to him and listened to him. But even John himself says Jesus is the one who has come to save the world.
36But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
37And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
All I can say is, if God is for you, who can be against you. Jesus takes it a step further and says there is someone who is greater than John who will stand for me. I know there have been times in my life when I felt everyone let me down. But no matter what, God knows, and He has the final say.
43I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
44How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
45Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
46For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.
47But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
Unfortunately, not much has changed since Jesus walked the earth. Christians are persecuted everyday for doing the will of the Father. But yet men who don't count God's way as holy are lifted up everyday. Jesus speaks of Moses being an accuser because the Jews in that day had strayed away from how God wanted them to be and because Moses also spoke of and believes in Christ. So by not believing in Christ, they were in essence going against Moses as well. It's a shame that it took Jesus mentioning people who are considered "popular" in order to get their attention. Jesus was bold and did not back down. Tonight, when you pray, I want you to pray for the boldness to stand for the Lord no matter what. Think about the areas in your walk where you need strength or boldness. Write them down in your journal and search for scriptures that will encourage that boldness. Pray over them and walk boldly in the Lord. Be blessed. Q

Another flavor perfections meal
Can you tell I am loving my new stuff right now? This meal took about 20 minutes. I grilled some chicken breast, and boiled some fettuccine florentine. I tossed it with 3 T of the alfredo flavor, some mushrooms, broccoli, and viola!!! My kids asked for seconds. I didn't have to use as much but I wanted the flavor to pop. I love how I got the alfredo flavor without a bunch of fatty traditional alfredo sauce. I'm on a roll yall!!! Q

21 Days to a closer walk with Thee (Day 4 Discussion)
7There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
13Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life
Jesus is the living water and the way to everlasting life.
23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
I so agree Beatrice. I love how Jesus dealt with people. Once again another example how we should be. He didn't see her sin but he saw her soul. Sometimes we get so caught up in our own feelings and emotions and we have to look past that and look deeper. There are a lot of hurt people in the world. We need to tell them the truth in love and show them the way, just like Jesus did with this woman. Verse 24 is one everyone should have marked in their bibles!!!! I also encourage you to do some researching into history to understand a lot of what happened during that time and throughout the bible. Has anyone ever wondered why Jesus was born in a manger? There is an answer for that as well and it is fascinating when you do the research behind it. I will share some of that with you as time goes on.
32But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
33Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
34Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
35Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
36And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
Do you see what Jesus said in verse 35? He talks about working. Not just labor like we do everyday but doing the work of God. We should be just like that. There is a work in the kingdom for all of us to do. Some of us are doing it already and others are unsure. So tonight as you pray and write in your journals, think about the work that you would like to do. Write it down and then later pray and see what God has to say to you. He may confirm it or He may lead you another way. Either way we all have a job to do. Above all else, we are to be the light of the world, and the salt of the earth. We need to guide people to Jesus and let them know that if they work for him, in the end, they will reap a reward greater than they could ever imagine. Isn't it good that God loves enough to bless us for our work? He doesn't have to because He has already done enough but since He said He would, all we have to do is believe it and receive it.
49The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
50Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.
51And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.
52Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
53So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
54This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.
These verses connects God's word, to our faith. Jesus spoke it that the boy was alive and the father believed it and it came to pass. A lot of folks miss out because we don't exercise our faith in God. We literally block our own blessings because we don't believe and we don't have faith. Stop putting God in a box. No matter what the situation is, know there is nothing too hard for God and with Him all things are possible. I know some of what I am saying sounds like I am repeating myself but I want to get it down into your spirit. I want you to wake up everyday with the peace that passes all understanding because your faith is strong in the Lord. Gal 3:11 "The righteous will live by faith." This also connects with what I was saying about work because the bible also says, "faith without works is dead." You work your faith by exercising it and you exercising it by putting it out before the Lord. This father had enough faith to not only go to Jesus and ask but to also believe His word. He was nowhere near his son to truly know if he was alive but yet, he believed God. He truly was walking back home with faith and not by sight. He exercised it by simply believing and going home knowing his son would live. He didn't beg Jesus to come home with him, he simply trusted and left. Hebrews 11: 5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Trusting in God pleases Him. Enoch walked with God and trusted God. So much so that he didn't see death!!! Remember when I posted about being the like the moon and seeking God? His word right here says He rewards those that diligently seek Him. We must always seek to be like God, to trust Him, to obey Him, to listen to Him, to worship Him and adore Him. Whatever it is that you need, ask the Lord, hear His voice, exercise your faith and believe God. Be blessed ladies. Q

21 Days to a closer walk with Thee (Day 4)
Good morning everyone. Today's focus scriptures for today are:
14But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life
23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Mediterranean Shrimp with Broccoli over brown rice
Yes I love brown rice so sue me. It tastes good and is good for you. Like I promised I tried out my flavor perfections tonight. I cleaned some shrimp, put them in the wok for about 3 minutes. Then I added a few cups of broccoli and tossed in about 6 teaspoons of the powder. This was super quick, and my family loved it. The kids asked when I was going to make it again. Tomorrow I want to try the alfredo. I picked up so fettuccine today at the store so we'll see how it goes. Sorry the pic is blurry but I am working on my pic taking skills more and more each day. Take care. Q

21 Days to a closer walk with Thee (Day 3) Discussion
3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
As you can see, three times Jesus says a man must be born again. (Kind of like when Peter betrayed Jesus 3 times.) He is speaking about a spiritual rebirth. It is the process we all went through when we accepted Him as our Lord and Savior. God is a spirit, and we must serve Him in spirit and in truth. When the bible speaks about being created in His image, it is not speaking of our flesh but our spirits. 1 Cor 15:50 I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. So in order to see God and live with Him for eternity, we must be sold out to Him in our Spirits.
11Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
Did Jesus shut him down or what? LOL Seriously this part really cracks me up because it is so very true. This is why our time in the word is very important. We can't think like the world, we need to see things the way God does. His ways our not our ways. How can we trust God to do big things when we don't trust Him with the small things in our lives? As we grow in the word, we graduate from baby christians to more mature ones. There are things God will only share with us because we are His kids. He has even given us a holy language that is for Him alone.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
I know everyone has heard 3:16 before. This is one of the most powerful scriptures in the bible. It speaks to why Jesus came and died. It also shows God's unmeasurable love for us. He loves us so much that if it was just you, He would have still come. Folks get things twisted by saying God just sends folks to hell. See Jesus didn't come to send us to hell. We send ourselves there by not serving Him. He came to set us free but so many don't receive Him.
28Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
29He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
30He must increase, but I must decrease.
Here John is speaking of Jesus. He is making sure folks don't make the mistake of serving Him. Once again this is another example for us to follow. A lot of people get big heads as the Lord promotes them. They take all the praise and adoration and forget that it was God who blessed them. Although John was a great man, He let it be known He was nothing about Christ. We should be more like Christ and less like man.
35The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." Jesus is God in the flesh. He came down with all power. Those who believe in Him will live with Him forever. Those who don't will not. Hell is just not about God's wrath but also being separated from God which in and of itself not worth it. God is good and God is love. So being apart from Him means not experiencing any of the love, peace, and joy there is in Him. That alone should make people go running asking, "what must I do to be saved?" The word of God is clear, you are either for Him or against Him. You can't have it both ways. Jos 24:15 (portion) Choose ye today whom you will serve. Jos 24:15 (ending) But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
We are now on day 3. For 3 days you have read the word, prayed and looked closer at scriptures. Those are 3 great habits you have picked up. Imagine how you are going to feel at the end of the 21 days? This is starting you on the right track or at least adding what you've already been doing. Doesn't it feel great? So for your journal tonight, I want you to began to look at the past 3 chapters and pick out some key scriptures and write them down. I want you to repeat them and know them by heart so you can use them in your daily walk. Everyday I want you to speak to yourself a scripture we have studied into your life. Take the word with you and watch God move on your behalf. Be blessed. Q

21 Days to a closer walk with Thee (Day 3)
I apologize for being late posting this. Wednesday is my day off and I get all of my mommy stuff done. My two oldest daughters had appointments this morning and I am just returning. Okay here are the key scriptures for today. This is a very rich chapter so I encourage you to truly read it. By picking out some key scriptures, it allows us to dissect some of the word in order to better apply it to our lives. I will be back later with thoughts and what to put in your journals. Be blessed ladies. Q

My new purchase!!!
You guys already know how much I lurve Todd English. I have his greenpans and they are just fabulous. I had been eying all of his products since then. The cook in me looks making things from scratch but with everything I have going on, it is getting harder and harder to do all that I would like. Well Todd came up with this wonderful idea named flavor perfections. They are these concentrated powders of different flavors made directly from the food he cooked. You basically cook the food and then sprinkle the powder on the warm food and like magic it starts to glaze on the food giving a nice sauce. The set I got came with Alfredo, Au Poivre, Bonfire Barbeque, and Mediterraean. Tomorrow I plan on using the Mediterranean on some shrimp with brocolli. Then I am going to put it on top of some brown rice. I will post pics tomorrow. I can't wait!!! Q

Day 2 Discussion
4Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
Jesus was mentioning His death. If you also read Matt 26:18 He mentions it there. I believe the disciples took for granted the time they had with Jesus. Because they believed in Him, they figured they would always have Him with them. Jesus was constantly teaching them in order to give them the tools they would need when He left. But God is such a wonderful God that He never leaves us alone. Because although Jesus in His earthly form is no longer here, His spirit lives with us and we have the Comforter to lead and guide us.
10And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
I love how God uses people to speak His word without them knowing it. Here the master at the wedding was talking about wine. But I believe He was also speaking about God and how good He is to us. Just look throughout the bible and you can see all the great men He raised up to help His people like Moses, and Elijah. But yet He saved the best for last when He sent His only begotten son. Jesus broke all of the chains, and gave us complete victory over death. He that the Son sets free, is free indeed. The best is yet to come for us as well. Although God is blesses His people everyday, our great reward will soon come when Jesus comes to take us home to heaven. There will be no more tears, no more heartbreak, no more hurt or worries. Yes the best is yet to come!!!
16And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.
17And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
18Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
19Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21But he spake of the temple of his body.
22When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
Jesus always taught by example. Ephesians 4:26 Tells us to Be angry, but sin not. Jesus was not only angry about what was being done in the temple, He had a zeal for things of the Lord. I look up the background of the word zeal. I found this: "a Church word, from Gk. zelos "zeal, ardor, jealousy" I also found some definitions. Zeal means fervor for a person, cause or object; eager desire or endeavor;enthusiastic diligence
Synonyms: intensity;passion
Ardor means intense devotion; eagerness; burning heat
Jesus has a passion and a desire for the things of the Lord. We too should have that within us. We should be so filled with devotion to the Lord and His way that it should eat at us like a burning heat. The bible says the Lord is a consumming fire.
The Jews reaction to Jesus' word shows how lacking man can be in our thoughts. They were thinking of an actual building but Jesus was talking about the temple that was His body. Even His own disciples doubted Him but when He rose, they remember the words He spoke. That happens to a lot of us in our walk. That's why it's important to write things down through this journey. We receive a word from God and sometimes forget about it. Then when things come to pass we have an Aha moment and remember that word. Take notes people because God is speaking into your life everyday and He is not like man that He should lie. Whatever He says He will do, believe it!!!
25And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man
In Matthew 9:4 Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, "Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?" God knows what's in our hearts. Jesus knew that some of those same people that was praising Him at that moment, would soon be the ones calling for His death. The world is in a mess right now because so many people put their trust in men and not in God. We need to believe what God has to say about our lives and not of those who will have to answer to Him as well. Men will lift you up and love you and praise you while you are doing good. But one slip and they will cast you by the way side. Can you imagine if God was like man? We would all be in hell right now. But thankfully we serve a loving, merciful, grace giving, and forgiving God. We can come to Him, cast all our cares, and repent of our sins. As long as you have breath in your body, you have a chance to get it right.
In your journal tonight, I want you to write down all of your cares and in your prayer time, give them over to the Lord. Instead of trying to do it on your own, trust God to work it out for you. As you pray, ask God to take all of your burdens off of you. Forget about what you have done in the past because you can't change that. But you can make sure you don't make them in the future. As you ask God to forgive you, forgive yourself. Let go all of the hurt, all the mistakes, all the lies, all the slip ups and all the things that kept you from being where you needed to be. Feel the love of God close in and around you. Let your heart receive the fullness of joy that you can only get from being in His presence. God loves you and His love is true. His love will keep you and protect you. Embrace it. Q
21 Days to a Closer Walk with Thee (Day 2)
Good morning everyone. I woke up this morning feeling so blessed. During my prayer time, I prayed for each and every one of you guys. I am so happy about this journey. So today we are studying John chapter 2. Because the bible is so extremely rich and one verse can preach all by itself (I've done this before) we are going to once again focus on some key verses from this chapter.
4Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
10And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
16And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

I'll be back with my thoughts a little later. Q

Day 1 discussion part 2
So now I want to focus on the significance of the 21 days. We all believe in the Holy Trinity. We also know that 7 is God's number for perfection. So we will devote 7 perfect days for each part of the God head. Praise God for that revelation!!!
I want you to think about what you would like to accomplish in the next 21 days. For some of you, these daily readings will get you into the habit of studying the word daily. For others, maybe it's the daily morning prayer that you needed. Or it may be just sharing your insight about the word like you do on here. Either way, I want all of us to take a pledge to use this time to add some Godly habits into our lives and give up something that has held us back. You don't have to post it here but I want you to write it in your journal and make a commitment to move to where you want to be in the next 21 days.
As you read the scriptures, write in your journal what it means to you. What is the scripture saying to you? How does what you are reading make you feel about your relationship? Use those questions and the answers you get in your prayer time with the Lord. Also take a look at the extra scriptures provided in order to see how God's word connects throughout the bible. Make notes in your bible as well.
Lastly, I want all of us to pray before going to bed every night. For those of you who are unsure, of how, you can simply pray Our Father, who Art in Heaven.... I will go more into praying in the next couple of days as well. I hope this first day has blessed you and know there is so much more good stuff in store for us through this journey. It is my prayer that at the end of the 21 days, we all will walk with the Lord just like Enoch did in Gen 5:24. That's how I came up with the other part of the title!!!
Also you can follow this along with some other ladies on this site right here. It is free to join and I am Queeny over there. We are taking this journey as a group named Women of the Word. Q

Day 1 discussion of the word
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
The first 2 verses speak about Jesus, the word and God the Father. This is the connection to the old testament. Jesus is the word made flesh and He was with God the father in the beginning and they are one. In Gen 1:26, Then God said, "Let us" meaning the father, son and the holy spirit. This tells us that we are serving the one true and only God.
11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
It wasn't just the Jews that didn't receive Him, we didn't either. All of us have sinned and fell short of the glory of God. But now that we believe in Him and born again (also see 1Peter 1:23), we will now children of the most high. We have POWER to move mountains, and to defeat darkness. To call those things that be not as though they were. We have privileges that no one else have. Think about your own relationship with either your kids or your parents. Your parents do things for you they won't do for other people. As parents, we make sure we give our kids the best because we love them. It's the same with God, our Daddy, our Father. He not only provides for us here, but He will take care of us in heaven as well. We will spend eternity living in our Fathers' mansions!!!!
50Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
51And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man. (Also See Gen 28:12)
Okay this is where I want you guys to get your journals out. Verse 51 is shouting news!!! We know one day Jesus will come back for us, the children of God. The ones mentioned in 12 and 13.
The greater things Jesus talked about was not just the miracles He worked, but the miracles WE too will do in His name. Now I want you to write down some of the great things God has already done for you. Some of us have been healed from diseases, some of us have been promoted on our jobs when we didn't have the qualifications for it. Only you know those things so write them down and rejoice in what the Lord has blessed you with.
Now I want you to write about the great things that are yet to be done in your life. There are GREAT things that God wants to do for you and through you. Write them down so you can later come back and see how faithful God is.
After I eat dinner with the fam, I will go a little deeper into the significance of the 21 days. Be blessed. Q

My hair regimen *Updated 6/2*
*I updated my regimen and changed the order and hopefully this makes it easier to understand.*
A friend of mine was asking me about my hair today. Suddenly it clicked that I haven't posted my regimen here. Funny how I have been featured on other sites but yet neglected to put my info right here. It sounds like a lot when it's typed out but it's really simple.
Winter- I wash or co-wash my hair while in braids or twists at least once a week. Then I detangle if needed, put some oil or butter on my hair and ends, and style. If my scalp is dry or I am seeing dandruff, I will apply some sulfur 8 grease to my scalp.
Spring and Summer- I do a lot of conditioner washes and wear a lot of wash n gos. Having a micro fiber hair towel is key to soaking up all the water.
Once a week I take out the braids or twists, I apply castor oil and let it soak in. Then I put my hair in 4 loose braids, wash and, apply conditioner. I rinse each braid individually and rebraid to avoid a head full of tangles. I apply castor oil or avocado butter to my hair, detangle with my bone comb and then rebraid or twist.
I apply a dime sized amount castor oil or avocado butter to my ends every night and sleep with my satin bonnet or scarf. Occasionally, I will spray my ends at night with some water mixed with fermodyl 619 and then put on the butter and/or oil on my ends to seal.
Once a month I clarify and do a protein deep condition. I follow it up with a moisturizing dc and then proceed with detangling and styling.
Every 6 months, I go to my beautician. She flat irons, then presses, trims and curls my hair. That is the only time I trim my hair and I usually lose about 1/2 to 1 full inch each time. I wear my hair straight for a week or so just for dh and then the first wash after, I do a deep condition with protein and moisture.
Products:
Shampoos- Suave biobasics, humectant, Hair One, and Envia ultra hydrating
Conditioners- Suave biobasics, humectant, Envia, Hair One, The Body Shop's honey conditioner, and pantene relaxed and natural hair mask
Protein- ion reconstructor, 2 minute aphogee, and Jasmine's
Moisturizing dc- I'll use the pantene mask or the Body's Shop's conditioner and let it sit on my head for about 30 minutes.
Styling aids- castor oil, avocado butter, coconut oil, hairveda and afroveda products
Leave ins- I will leave a little of the Hair One on my hair
Must have tools- bone comb, micro fiber hair towel, denman brush, satin bonnet, and scarf
Keys to healthy hair:
Find what works and stick to it.
Proper moisture and protein balance.
If you can't wash or cowash often, spritz your hair to add moisture back to it.
Take care of your ends for retention.
Baby your hair. Don't just rake through it and abuse it.
Play around with different styles.
Hope this info helps. Q

21 Days to a closer walk with Thee (Day 1)
Good morning everyone. I started this morning ready to go. I got up early to pray and was well on my way. I am currently typing this from home instead of work like I had planned. My dh is having car trouble and so I have yet to leave. But I rejoice because I know God is going to bless this journey and that's why it's being met with opposition. Yesterday while in church, I prayed asking God to reveal to me which way to go. I was led to the book of John. Ironically, John has 21 chapters so it will fit right into our studies. We will examine other scriptures as well.
Your task for today is read the first chapter of John. There are a couple of scriptures that stood out and I want to focus on. They are:
John 1
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

51And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
We will discuss the scriptures throughout the day. Be blessed. Q

"21 days to a closer walk with Thee" pre post
The other day while I was driving to work and talking to the Lord, something was placed on my heart. I thought about when I first got saved and how lost I felt sometimes. I wish I had someone to guide me and help me along the journey. As I grew in the Lord, I adopted so many things that have helped me to be a better and stronger person. But every now and then, even I can use a refresher. It was then on that drive the series, "21 days to a closer walk with Thee" came to me. I have invited women from all over who have the heart and mind to join me on this journey.
Studies show that it takes 21 days for something to become a habit. Over the next 21 days, with God's help, we will form holy habits, eliminate the ones that distract us, delve deeper into the word of God, and get all the more closer to Him. I also explain the spiritual significance of the title of the series as well.
So in order to get going here is what you need:
1. Your bible
2. A journal to write down your thoughts and to keep track of your progress
3. An open heart and mind to receive what God has for you.
Your first assignment is to wake up at least 5 minutes early every morning and spend that time praying. Putting God first every morning is one of the habits we all should have. I am looking forward to this journey. Much love. Q

Sunday's Quick, easy and healthy dinner
I usually cook big elaborate meals on Sundays but this week I want to mix things up for the family. I always cook healthy but I also wanted to do more quick meals and very little leftovers. So my goal is to make nothing but 30 minute or less quick, easy, and healthy meals.
Today I made lemon chicken with brown rice, and a mixed salad. The salad is a pre-mixed organic one that I picked up from Sam's. Here is the recipe for the chicken:
4 med boneless chicken breasts about 1 pound
1/3 cup of all purpose flour
1/4 tsp of pepper
2 T of margarine or butter
1 cup of chicken broth
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 T of cornstarch
lemon slices

Rinse and pat chicken dry. Place between plastic wrap and pound lightly with a mallet until about 1/4 thick. Combine flour and pepper and lightly coat chicken with mix. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken 4-6 minutes or until no longer pink turning once. Keep chicken warm after cooking. Combine broth, lemon juice and cornstarch in a bowl. Add to skillet and cook on medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Serve on top of chicken and top with lemon slice (optional).

I used real lemons of course so the sauce was really tangy. If I do this recipe again, I will cut back on the amount of lemon juice used. Otherwise, it's a hit. Q

Low twistout puff
That's the best way to describe my hairstyle today. I did a couple of big twists a few days ago. Today I took them out with my fingers, applied some whipped baggy cream, and used a satin scarf to push my hair back into a low sitting puff. Pop in a flower, and some nice earrings and I was good to go. I'm happy to be nappy again!!! Q

Called to be the moon

When most people think of the moon, they think of the night time. On it's own, the moon has no light. Although it lights up the sky at night, it is not shining on it's own, it's reflecting. The moon is reflecting the light from the Sun. We who are called of Christ are the same.
We have no light and no power on our own. Instead we get what we need from the Son as well which is Jesus Christ. It is through Him that we are then able to shine our light on the dark world and help others to find our way. Every now and then, the earth comes between the sun and moon and the moon has no light. But as it keeps moving, it is able to catch hold of the sun's rays so it can keep on reflecting. We are like that as well. We let things and sometimes the people of this world get in the way of us and God. For a moment, we get off track and darkness takes over.
No matter who you are, or how long you have followed God, your focus has shifted at one point or another. But understand that as long as you are alive, you have a chance, to keep moving like the moon, and to get back on track. We all have been called to be moons. We are here to reflect the love, the peace, the joy, the hope, and the salvation of Christ unto this dark and evil world. We are here to help others know, there is a better way, and there is more than what this world offers. Never stop seeking God. Never stop following Him. Never stop reading His word. Let your light shine no matter what others say about you. If they talked about Jesus, know they will talk about you. But take comfort in knowing the Lord will redeem you. He will bless you and give you a reward for doing His will. Be blessed. Q

Busy, busy, busy
Hey readers. I have so much going on in my life right now. I haven't forgotten about you all. Right now we are in the middle of a huge church conference. I took off from work and have been ripping and running since Wednesday. Actually I didn't see my family all day on Wednesday. Anyway, God has been doing some great things and opening up some doors because of our obedience and faithfulness. I will be sharing them soon. I got my 6 month press, trim and curl. It was supposed to be a rollerset but that was a big fat FAIL. My hair laughed at me. So after sitting up under the dryer for 1 1/2 hours, we went back to the regular routine. I got spiral curls again but I jazzed them up a little. I'll have pics up once the conference ends on Saturday. It's late, I'm tired and it's raining right now. I love when it rains, I sleep like a baby. Off to bed I go. Take care everyone!!!! Q

Time to unpack in order to repack!!!
I had a completely different title for this post but my Pastor said this during bible study this week and I decided to use it. We have been studying the word regarding fasting for the past 2 weeks. I am about to embark on one myself. On Tuesday we were discussing the reasons why some people don't fast. He gave the analogy of packing for a trip. He bascially said, some of us live our lives like we do when we pack for a trip. We pack all of these things in our suitcase and then when we stop and think for a moment, we realize we left out some important things. So it is then that we have to unpack in order to take out some stuff and then repack and put in only those things that are necessary.
I've been dealing with this situation in my life as well. With school, work, church, T and the Supremes, I am feeling overwhelmed. I kept thinking I needed more time when really I just need to get rid of some things. It is hard but I know I can't keep going like this. Some of you may think this doesn't apply to you but it can.
So many of us are feeling the financial crunch right now and we're struggling. Instead of trying to get another job or a way to bring in more money, maybe you need to take a look at what you currently have going out and unpack some items. Do you have to have the cable plan with the 500 channels or will basic suffice? Do you need to see every movie as soon as it comes out or can you just wait and rent it? Do you have to eat out during lunch or can you just bag it? There are so many things we can do to make the money that we already have go farther.
Or maybe you need to unpack in your personal life or personal time. Have you stretched yourself way too thin trying to do everything for everybody? Are there some people in your life that have been dragging you down and you need to cut loose? Are you taking the time to care for your body like you should? Do you have to watch all 50 versions or CSI? Or can you pick one and then the other nights, go to bed early and get some rest? Okay that last one was for me but you get my drift.
Take a good hard look at your life and begin to unpack some things. Before you put stuff back in, focus on those things you need first, and then carefully choose what will follow. My plan of action is very simple, God first, family and friends, personal time, physical health, school, and everything else. Be blessed. Q

Smothered Chicken tutorial
My girl gloom asked me to do this for her so I obliged. I don't really measure but I did some just for her in order to make sure it is accurate.
Ingredients:
8-10 pieces of chicken pieces about 3-3 1/2 pounds
salt
pepper
1/2 tsp crushed garlic (I used crushed garlic in a jar)
About 1 cup flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 chopped onion
1 chopped bell pepper (I sometimes use mushrooms and celery as well)
About 3 cups of chicken broth

Season chicken and cover in flour. Remove excess flour. Reserve about 2-3 T of the flour. Pour oil in pan and heat on medium. Add chicken to brown.

Cook chicken on each side for about 5 minutes until lightly browned.

Transfer the chicken to a plate and leave about 3 T of the oil in the pan. Add veggies and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes until soft.

Add reserved flour and stir well.

Gradually stir in chicken broth. Season broth with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and then reduce to low.

Add chicken to pot and cook for about 30-40 minutes or until chicken doesn't run pink, stirring often.

Here is a plate I made for one of the Supremes. Enjoy!!! Q

"The best sermons are lived not preached"
I saw that quote on a church I drove past the other morning after taking the Supremes to school. I immediately began to smile because I felt like it was meant just for me. Anyone who knows me, knows I love quotes. Tee is always sending me quotes she comes across because she knows how much I enjoy them. This one stuck out to me because I have really been looking deep into my life and my walk recently. People are always shocked when they find out I am a minister. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. I guess they are expecting me to look down or them or to be quoting scriptures at every other sentence.
If you ever see me in the pulpit, yes I come straight from the word. If you are like me, you want to learn from the Lord and not from someone who is giving their own spin on things. But in my day to day life, the word is not just something written or spoken, it's my life. It is living and breathing inside me. It corrects me when I am wrong, it keeps me focused, and it allows me to show love to others. So whether people recognize it or not, they are seeing the word in action when they see me.
I am a strong believer of not just saying but doing. As a child, I rebelled against a lot of stuff because I saw too many people saying one thing but doing another. A lot of people are like that. They are waiting for someone to go outside the lines so they too can have an excuse to not do what is right. That is part of the reason why I am so open about parts of my life. I want people to see that I am human, I have struggles but I can admit when I am wrong and make some changes. I don't give someone else a chance to call me out because I hear from God and He checks me before anyone else gets a chance to.
Like Jesus who was and still is the living breathing word, I want to be able to bless the people who come in contact with me. I have the scriptures to back up what I know to be true, but I feel my life, the love of God within me, and my testimonies are the greatest sermons I will ever preach. Much love. Q

Congrats to T!!!
Last night dh and I went to an awards banquet. He is so humble that I didn't find out until last week that he was actually getting and award. He received a citizen's award from the Ministerial Fellowship of Albuquerque and Vicinity. It is given out every year to members of various congregations who have given of their time to be a blessing to others in the community.
I can not think of anyone more deserving than T. Anyone who has met him, knows he is a very quiet guy. But deep inside of him, is a love and desire to serve the Lord. That is one of the things I love most about him. He does enough within our home church but he goes above and beyond and also helps out at the Rescue mission serving food, he was a part of an organization that helped some of the Hurricane Katrina victims, and he is out at least once a month going out in the community witnessing to others. I could go on and on but you get the picture. Here is some pics of him along with my Pastor and my friend K who also received an award last night. Congrats to you sweetie, I love you and I thank God for blessing me with such a wonderful, giving, unselfish, and great man of God. Q

My crazy morning!!!
This morning I was sleeping without a care in the world. All of a sudden, I heard the sound of a door closing and another thud. So I jumped up and ran to the window to look outside. It was still dark and I noticed the motion sensor light was on. I ran back to the room to tell T. I yelled,"T I think someone was outside because the sensor light is on." I glanced over quickly at the clock and saw it was almost time for me to get up so I thought this person had to be real bold. T still hasn't moved or said anything. I figured he was in a deep sleep.
So I crept down the hall, through the kitchen and I heard some noises coming from the laundry room. I turned on the light and noticed the washing machine is going. So I am thinking "oh goodness someone got into the house and had the nerve to wash our clothes." So I rush to the door in the laundry room that leads to the garage. I look inside and his car is gone. I take off sprinting through the house yelling, "T, T your car is gone, come quick someone stole your car!!" So the girls heard me and they pop up scared. I run into my bedroom, turn the light on only to discover T is gone. He has PT every Thursday morning and he leaves early. Q

There is always an opportunity to bless someone...
Yesterday I was out and about running errands. I was headed home when all of a sudden I started craving a soda. I rarely drink it so I figured I would hit one of the gas stations. There is one that I love to go to because it is always super clean and it has a station that allows you to add extra flavors to your drink. I was in the far right lane and none of the cars would let me get over to where the station was on the left. I was going to go up a block and turn around but as I drove by, I realized it was busy with folks buying Lotto tickets so I decided to head home.
I was a few blocks from the house and I still wanted a soda. So finally I decided to head to the station near my house. I usually park right near the door but for some reason opted to park farther away and walk. As I was walking to the door, a lady in a truck pulled up and I heard her say, "excuse me Miss" several times. At first I didn't pay her any attention and even when inside but then something told me to turn around and go back out. She said, "excuse me Miss" again and I replied, "yes." She held up a handicapped sign and asked if I could have the attendant inside come out to help her.
I went inside and there were 2 other people in the store. I told the attendant about the lady. She was outside for a minute or so and came back to take care of the 2 people and myself. As soon as I was done, it seemed like more people started coming in. I could see she was trying to move quickly so she could help the lady outside. Finally I said, "I'll go help the lady so you can stay here." She asked if I was sure and I told her I was fine. I went up to the lady in the truck and told her I would help her. She said, "I only have 3 dollars so can you just give me 3 dollars worth of the regular gas." I told her sure and headed back inside to the attendant.
As I walked back, I was kind sad that all she had was $3 and I knew that wouldn't really go far. Usually I don't carry cash but yesterday I did. So I took the other singles I had in my wallet, added it to her $3 and gave it to the attendant. I went back outside and filled her truck up. I walked to her window to let her know I was done. She looked over me and at the pump and gasped. I told her, "don't worry, I added a little more to your money for you." She had tears in her eyes as she thanked me and told me I didn't have to do that. I simply said, "no problem and God bless you." I told the attendant I was done and went home.
I truly believe I was meant to be there in order to bless that woman. I know it was God that put that craving for soda in me so I would be at that gas station, at the right time, so she would ask me for help. Sure simply pumping her gas or getting the attendant was enough. But, I did a little extra not because I wanted to get praise but simply because I wanted to be a blessing to her. We all have opportunities to bless someone. It doesn't have to be money it could simply be a few kind words, volunteering, giving up your time or simply praying for people.
The bible says that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. But I believe if each one of us makes it our goal to bless someone and encourage that person to bless another, more of God's work will be done here on earth. However and whenever you can, be a blessing to someone else and watch God be a blessing to you. Much love. Q

Today I needed them more than they needed me..
The morning drive to drop the Supremes off is the time I spend to talk to them. Instead of listening to music, we talk. It is one small way I am able to show them how important what goes on in their lives mean to me. I decided to tell them about Chris' passing. I didn't want to do it at night because I didn't want them to have that on their mind before going to sleep. So I choose this time in case they have any questions. It took me a few moments to find the right words without bursting into tears. But I think they already knew something was amiss.
K didn't give me any grief while getting dressed. As I was fixing her belt on her pants, she touched my face with her hands and gave me a kiss. D who is usually in her own world in the morning, stood behind me on the couch while I put my shoes on. B who is usually in the playroom reading a book, sat next to me. I don't know if it was my mood or the fact that my eyes showed the telltale signs of crying, but they knew.
They each reacted differently when I told them but all 3 were shocked. At the light, I looked at them in the rearview mirror. K was resting her head on the armrest. B had her hood on and was looking down at her hands. D just stared out the window. It took all I could to not cry at that very moment. I broke the silence by telling them they could help Chris' family by making a card or writing a letter. They were happy they could do something to help.
Once we arrived at school, they didn't run off with their friends. All 3 of them asked me questions about school and walked close to me. It was as if they were trying to cheer me up. After I signed them in, all 3 of them stayed nearby and gave me a kiss. Even B who is sometimes too cool and D who thinks kisses are germy. As I was leaving they stood there watching me, told me they loved me, and smiled and waved. I guess they knew because as soon as I got back to my van, the tears fell. That was one of the hardest things I've had to tell them. They knew Chris. They adored him, and he was like family to us.
Here I was trying to be strong for them, but they were strong for me. This is so very hard for me. Since August, I've lost 5 people who were close to me. No matter how many times it happens, it doesn't hurt any less. It doesn't get any easier. Each one of them was special to me. Each one of them meant something to me. I miss all of them. My girls knew I was hurting and they blessed me. Today I needed them more than they needed me and my girls had my back. I thank God for blessing me with them. Q

Deja Vu
Tonight my phone rang. It was my friend T on the other end. I already knew before she told me. She tried to be strong by asking about the kids etc but I already knew. Her husband Chris lost his battle with cancer. I felt like someone punched me in the stomach. When I last saw him, he was up and about, smiling and his cancer was in remission. Apparently it came back and this time in his lungs. It was real aggressive and it was quick. He went into the hospital and 6 days later, he was gone. She was just lonely and wanted to talk so we did. I told her the story about K and her tight shoes today and it made her chuckle. She thanked me and said she needed that. I am going to find the time to see her and check in on her. Just to sit with her and keep her company. I have so many thoughts because it seems like I keep losing people all around me. But I know it's because I love so many people and that is a part of life.
To Chris, my tall fellow NYer and Knicks fan, I love you and I thank God for having the chance to have known you. RIP Q

There is nothing...
Today I had another post all planned out. It came to me a few days ago and I've been praying and talking to the Lord about how to word it so it will bless you. As I was fixing breakfast for the Supremes this morning, God whispered something else in my ear and urged me to post it.
Often times I will see someone IRL, or on the board and God will lead me to pray for them or sometimes contact them and give them a word of encouragement. But this time, I didn't get that. If you clicked on this and is reading it, then this is for you because God knows you need to know this.
God told me to tell YOU,
THERE IS NOTHING TOO HARD FOR GOD
ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, NOTHING!!!!
Have a blessed day. Q

I was on HSN!!!
Well I called in. Anyway, I was laying in bed flipping the channel and saw they were offering the Todd English green pan set. As you all know, dh got a set for me at Christmas and I am in love. So I decided to call in and share my love. I was on hold for what seemed like forever. Finally a young lady came on, asked me a few questions, gave me some instructions and then I was up. The family was in the playroom listening and they jumped up and down as they heard their names on tv. They even mentioned my name and story again at a later time. I was bummed to find out the bakeware set I wanted was sold out. But I plan on getting them. I plan on doing some videos of my cooking with them and will put them on youtube. Those pans are the absolute best and I think everyone should get them. I will never cook with anything else again!!! Q

As you all know, I purchased some products from Hairveda. I had been using them mainly on the Supremes and occassionally on myself but I wanted to try them on my twists. I washed, conditioned, applied avocado butter on my hair and whipped baggy cream on my ends, braided, and then let my hair air dry. Today I took the braids out and applied my MT/castor oil mix to my scalp. I used my fingers to part and then I sprayed each section with Hydrasoft and then applied whipped gelly to the length. I twisted each section and applied a little more of the gelly to the ends. Both products are made by Hairveda and they smell great as well. My twists are soft, shiny, and bouncy. I wish they were a little tighter but so far I like them. Here are some pics. Q

Blessings all around me
Earlier this week I was communicating with someone via private messaging. They mention a book they were using during their time in the word and I mentioned I was looking into adding some new items as well. I'd planned on going to Borders some time this week. On the forum, another member had some Hairveda, hydrasoft for sale. I quickly scoop them up from her. She sent me a message asking if it was okay for her to include some other items. Me being me, I told her to go right ahead!!! That was on the 30th.
Yesterday I arrived home to find a box waiting for me. I figured it was from the young lady but I wasn't going to open it. My curiosity got the best of me and I sat down last night to open it. What I found brought tears to my eyes. Not only did she send me the hydrasoft that she only charged me for the shipping, she included 2 jars of Virgin coconut oil, a scalp massaging brush and a nlt bible promise book. Along with the book was a message card with a scripture that blessed me and was right on time. It was a small way of God letting me know He loves me.
Thank you so much D for blessing me. You are so sweet, wonderful and generous and I look forward to meeting you one day and giving you a big hug. If there is anything I can do for you, don't hesitate to ask. Muah!!! Q
